songs from Surinam, The Netherlands, the Antilles and Turkey) On this childrens song cd the well known Surinam artist Gerda Havertong sings two Surinam songs and tells a funny Anansi story. Cherish Snijders features in most of the other songs like Makokketje, Heerlijk tropenland, Sikkie Malinda and Mi kondre troe. A song is performed by the Turkish saz player and singer Ceylan Utlu. And from Sint Maarten the young singer Shermelijn Williams and a local childrens choir are presenting you their songs. The 19 tracks on this cd are all wellknown traditionals sung in Sranantongo (Surinam language), Dutch, English, Papiamento, Turkish and Spanish. A cd with much cultural diversity! Christmas Fantasy On this cd with 25 tracks ronald Snijders plays plenty of international wellknown songs like White Christmas (Ive Berlin), Sleigh ride .(Leroy Anderson), the Christmas song (Mel thorme) en Feliz Navidad of Jose Feliciano. the song are performed on different flutes (flute, altoflute, bassflute and piccolo) played by Ronald Snijders accompanied by guitars, keyboards, bass, drums and percussion. Cool, sometimes jazzy and now and then a touch of latin or other worldmusic. there are also vocal Christmas and Newyearsongs with combo, like We wish you a merry christmas and Jingle bells. Of course you also hear some Surinam christmas songs on this cd. The vocals are are the female RnB and soul singer Niza Udenhout, Marijke Irion and Ronald Snijders.
